Hi all,

This month has been a busy one personally.  I had hoped to do a blog entry much earlier but was unable to do so.  A few things of note this month.  First of all we have suspended our "Gospel Night" presentation until spring.  This is due to a few factors, but mainly the climate is to blame.  Also we wanted to attend to a few other opportunities to share the Gospel of our saviour Jesus Christ.  One such opportunity is coming in January.

The Oprah machine is coming to Edmonton and we want those who are planning on attending to know the dangers of her message of false hope.  Romans 3:10-18 is what the likes of Oprah need to see.  Verse 18 to me is the key point in the matter. There is nothing good in humanity to give to God, there is no inner goodness to draw strength from.  The only hope is in Christ Jesus, there is no other hope!  The deceitfulness in flattering speech drives the crowds to see the likes of Oprah.  Romans 3:13 comes to mind in this.  So please pray for Oprah, may she see the true light.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith.
This was to demonstrate His righteousness,
because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
-Romans 3:23-25

I want to thank Mirror of Truth Ministries for their involvement and in bringing this to our attention.  Also the Calgary Peacemakers, if you want more info visit their website at: http://www.calgarypeacemakers.com/index.htmlOprah will be in Edmonton January 21st and in Calgary on the 22nd.

Also we would like prayers for the future of The Empty Tomb Ministry.  We are looking at registering and also hoping to be at Missions fest this February.  This takes place at the Shaw Conference Center here in Edmonton and would be a great way to network among believers and such.

Thanks for reading and God bless!

In Christ,
